Caracass Studios Hoots independent film in Hotel Fear

Local independent filmmaker Joe Lujan of Carcass Studios has just released the trailer to his newest project titled "Rust". This film was shot entirely at our Hotel Fear Haunted House. !! You can see the trailer above the Blog Section, click on it and check it out!!

While the haunt as a movie set was a huge advantage, providing all the scenic necessary for the shoot, it also did make things a bit more challenging. Both Hotel Fear and Asylum haunted houses are temporary attractions. For tens months of the year they are secretly hid away in a very nondescript, unknown storage location where updated effects and new scares are created and installed.  While interior shots are available, the only way to get good exterior shots is when we are operational!! So Joe and his crew had to shoot around our operational schedule within the limited time we were on site!!!

Joe had seen both Asylum and Hotel Fear and was intrigued and inspired by the details, look and feel of Hotel Fear. As Joe put it, "one trip through Hotel Fear and you could just envision a whole movie jumping out at you!" Joe wrote the script around the attraction so in essence, Hotel Fear itself is a part of the cast!! Joe approached us with his idea for a film shot at the haunt, details were worked out and the project green lighted!

Asylum and Hotel Fear haunted houses are happy to support local Las Vegas film making. Joe and his entire cast and crew at Carcass Studios were great to work with they did an outstanding job. We look forward to the full presentation and will keep everyone informed here as to when you too can experience the full version of "Rust".
