sure by now you have heard that the one and only Sir Christopher Lee has
passed! Born May 27, 1922 Sir Lee had a movie career spanning nearly 70
years!!!
Most well
known (in our industry) for his role as Dracula, he also portrayed the Mummy
AND Frankenstein!
While we all
known about the Seven Degrees of Kevin Bacon, we should probably change it to
the Three Degrees of Sir Lee as you can connect Sir Lee to ANY actor by only
2.59 connections!!
Though known
as an actor, Lee was a world champion fencer, an opera singer, spoke 6
languages, was a hell of a golfer did you know he was a member of Churchill’s
elite Special Operations Executive during WW2? Those missions are STILL
classified!! A real life 007! (Lee was also a cousin to Ian Flemming!)
Thought of as
a proper Englishman, his mother was an Italian contessa, through her Lee is
descended from the Emperor of Charlemagne AND he was also related to Robert E.
Lee…the Confederate General!
