We want to inform you of a possible SCAM. There is a Groupon offering for a haunted house called. America is Haunted. Being on Groupon you would think it is legit. However all indications point to a scam,
The company claims 42 locations across the country, in business for two years, taking the haunt industry by storm, We are not only IN the Haunt Industry but a very prominent business within the industry. We have never heard of this company, neither have any of the major haunts around the country.
I personally visited the address listed, the build is VACANT! Phone numbers on their web site are either "message is full" or "you have dialed incorrectly" messages.
DO NOT purchase tickets for America is Haunted. If you are a Groupon member, contact them and complain. How did this even happen? Not in just one market, but 42 across the country???? Someone didn't do their homework when I can find out it's a scam with some minor checking and a quick drive by!!
Things like this hurt the Haunt industry when we have NOTHING to do with such activity!
Do us and yourselves a favor, Go to a REAL Haunted Attraction!!! The ASYLUM & HOTEL FEAR have been scaring Las Vegas for SIXTEEN YEARS!!! We had people actually wetting themselves last night (we keep a running total...no pun intended!!). Don't be ripped off, go to a haunt you can trust! We not only SCARE...but we CARE!!!
